Ngày 30/6, UBND tỉnh Long An long trọng tổ chức Lễ động thổ Dự án đường Vành đai 3 TP.HCM đoạn qua Long An. Về phía lãnh đạo Trung ương, tham dự buổi lễ có nguyên Phó Thủ tướng Thường trực Chính phủ – Trương Hòa Bình; Trung tướng Lê Tấn Tới – Chủ nhiệm Ủy ban Quốc phòng và An ninh của Quốc hội; Thượng tướng Trần Đơn – nguyên Thứ trưởng Bộ Quốc phòng; Phó Chủ nhiệm Ủy ban Tư pháp của Quốc Hội – Hoàng Văn Liên; Phó Chủ nhiệm Ủy ban Khoa học, Công nghệ và Môi trường của Quốc hội – Nguyễn Tuấn Anh; Thứ trưởng Bộ Lao động – Thương binh và Xã hội – Lê Tấn Dũng.
Đường Vành đai 3 TP.HCM là dự án giao thông trọng điểm quốc gia, đi qua 4 địa phương gồm TP.HCM, Bình Dương, Đồng Nai và Long An. Được đầu tư giai đoạn 1 với chiều dài hơn 76km, tổng mức đầu tư gần 75.400 tỉ đồng. Trong đó, đoạn qua Long An dài hơn 6,84km, tổng mức đầu tư hơn 4.200 tỉ đồng với 2 dự án thành phần (gồm xây dựng đường Vành đai 3 và bồi thường, hỗ trợ, tái định cư đường Vành đai 3, đoạn qua địa bàn tỉnh). Dự án có điểm đầu tại ranh TP.HCM – Long An, điểm cuối tại nút giao giữa đường cao tốc Bến Lức – Long Thành và TP.HCM – Trung Lương (đi qua địa bàn huyện Bến Lức).
Dự án dự kiến chính thức thông xe vào năm 2025, đóng vai trò chiến lược hình thành mạng lưới giao thông liên kết Đông Nam bộ với khu vực Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long. Phát huy hiệu quả đối với các dự án được đầu tư, tạo không gian phát triển mới. Khai thác tiềm năng sử dụng đất, xây dựng đô thị hiện đại, bền vững, góp phần phát triển KT-XH của đất nước.
Phát biểu tại buổi lễ, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh – Nguyễn Văn Út đề nghị, UBND huyện Bến Lức tiếp tục tập trung quyết liệt thực hiện các khối lượng còn lại của công tác giải phóng mặt bằng. Nhất là việc thực hiện chế độ, chính sách bồi thường, hỗ trợ, tái định cư cho các hộ dân phải thực sự phù hợp với thực tế và đúng quy định pháp luật. Về quản lý chất lượng, tiến độ công trình, giao Sở Giao thông Vận tải cần bám sát, quyết liệt trong điều hành, quản lý chất lượng, tiến độ, vốn đầu tư, bảo đảm chặt chẽ đúng pháp luật. Đồng thời, xây dựng kế hoạch thực hiện có phương pháp khoa học và thực hiện nghiêm túc các quy định, quy chuẩn cũng như phối hợp tốt với các bộ, ngành Trung ương trong suốt quá trình thực hiện dự án.
Để hoàn thành mục tiêu đề ra, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh – Nguyễn Văn Út yêu cầu, các đơn vị thi công, tư vấn, giám sát, thiết kế huy động máy móc, trang thiết bị hiện đại. Lựa chọn đội ngũ nhân lực giàu kinh nghiệm, bảo đảm kỹ thuật, mỹ thuật, hoàn thành và đưa công trình vào khai thác sử dụng đúng tiến độ.
