Bình Dương đang đẩy nhanh tiến độ xây dựng các tuyến đường giao thông kết nối vùng; đồng thời sẽ triển khai dự án đường sắt quy mô lớn ra cảng biển để lưu thông hàng hóa, giảm áp lực cho đường bộ.
Bình Dương sẽ xây 2 tuyến đường sắt tỉnh
Ngày 25/7, đại diện UBND tỉnh Bình Dương cho biết, để phát triển kinh tế, xã hội, địa phương đã triển khai hàng loạt dự án nâng cấp, mở rộng các tuyến đường kết nối vùng.
Ngoài ra, tỉnh Bình Dương đang lên kế hoạch xây dựng các tuyến đường sắt kết nối các tỉnh vùng Đông Nam bộ ra cảng biển nhằm nâng cao năng lực lưu thông hàng hóa; giảm tải cho đường bộ, tránh ùn tắc giao thông.
Hai tuyến đường sắt tỉnh Bình Dương sẽ đầu tư xây dựng tới đây gồm: tuyến đường sắt đô thị số 1 tỉnh Bình Dương nối tuyến đường sắt đô thị số 1 TP. HCM từ ga cuối Suối Tiên (TP. HCM) đến Thành phố mới Bình Dương; tuyến đường sắt thứ 2 là từ công nghiệp Bàu Bàng – Thị Vải – Cái Mép dài 127,45 km.
Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Bình Dương Nguyễn Lộc Hà cho biết đã gặp đại diện Cơ quan hợp tác quốc tế Nhật Bản (JICA) và đề xuất tổ chức này cùng Chính phủ Nhật Bản quan tâm, hỗ trợ thu xếp nguồn vốn ODA và đẩy nhanh công tác triển khai các dự án nói trên với tổng vốn vay khoảng 543 tỷ yên Nhật.
