Trong buổi làm việc mới đây với Tập đoàn Sunwah (Trung Quốc), Bí thư Tỉnh ủy Bình Dương Nguyễn Văn Lợi cho biết, tỉnh này có vị trí chiến lược gần cảng biển, sân bay; là trung tâm logistics của vùng kinh tế trọng điểm phía Nam, là thủ phủ công nghiệp của cả nước.
Bình Dương hiện có 29 khu công nghiệp (KCN) với tổng diện tích 12.600 ha, tỷ lệ lấp đầy đạt 91%. Ông Lợi cho biết tỉnh đang quy hoạch thêm 15 KCN với tổng diện tích 10.200 ha, sẽ đáp ứng được yêu cầu thu hút, bố trí các dự án đầu tư.
Ông Lợi thông tin thêm, Becamex IDC có quan hệ hợp tác với Tập đoàn Sunwah và mong muốn hai bên sẽ tiếp tục phát triển mạnh mẽ ttrong tương lai.
Theo quy hoạch sử dụng đất KCN thời kỳ 2021 – 2030 và kế hoạch sử dụng đất KCN năm 2022, đến năm 2050 trên địa bàn tỉnh Bình Dương có 46 KCN với tổng diện tích 24.338 ha. Theo đó, tỉnh sẽ thành lập mới 15 KCN với tổng diện tích (không bao gồm phân khu đô thị trong KCN – đô thị – dịch vụ) là 10.042 ha, tiếp tục thực hiện 31 KCN theo Công văn số 173/TTg.
Gia đoạn 2021 – 2030, Bình Dương cho biết sẽ ưu tiên đầu tư 18 dự án KCN với diện tích đất cần thực hiện là 6.573 ha. Như vậy, đến năm 2030, tổng diện tích đất công nghiệp dự kiến cần để thực hiện các dự án phát triển KCN là 16.609 ha, tăng 1.619 ha; tổng diện tích đất của 2 dự án KCN chuyển tiếp và 9 dự án KCN quy hoạch mới còn lại sẽ được thực hiện sau năm 2030 là 3.901 ha.
Tầm nhìn đến năm 2050 (thời kỳ 2031 – 2050), còn 3.901 ha đất chưa đầu tư hạ tầng của các KCN từ thời kỳ trước chuyển sang, trong thời kỳ này dự kiến tăng thêm 5 KCN mới với tổng diện tích khoảng 3.827 ha.
