Long An đang nỗ lực thực hiện nhiều tuyến đường giao thông trọng điểm, kết nối với TP.HCM và các tỉnh, thành trong khu vực Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long. Từ đó, một làn sóng đầu tư mới của các doanh nghiệp (DN) lớn đang “tiến đến” Long An, đặc biệt dòng vốn “chảy” vào bất động sản ngày một tăng.
Theo báo cáo của Sở Kế hoạch và Đầu tư tỉnh Long An, từ đầu năm 2019, UBND tỉnh cấp mới 151 dự án trong nước với vốn đầu tư đăng ký mới 18.148 tỉ đồng. Đến nay, tỉnh có 1.602 dự án với số vốn đăng ký 184.161 tỉ đồng. Đối với dự án đầu tư từ nước ngoài, từ đầu năm 2018 đến nay, tỉnh cấp mới 69 dự án với tổng vốn cấp mới và tăng thêm 366 triệu USD. Đến nay, trên địa bàn tỉnh Long An có 951 dự án đầu tư nước ngoài với số vốn hơn 6.009 triệu USD, trong đó có 576 dự án đi vào hoạt động, tổng vốn đầu tư 3.614 triệu USD.
Đặc biệt, thời gian qua, để đón làn sóng đầu tư, tỉnh đầu tư nguồn lực lớn hàng ngàn tỉ đồng để xây dựng hạ tầng, trong đó, việc phát triển hệ thống giao thông, tạo kết nối thuận lợi với các địa phương trong khu vực đã tạo nên sức hấp dẫn đáng kể đối với nhà đầu tư. Đến nay, Long An đã hoàn thành nhiều quy hoạch quan trọng cho giai đoạn đến năm 2020, tầm nhìn tới 2030 và cũng đã sẵn sàng cho việc đón làn sóng đầu tư từ TP.HCM lan tỏa đến. Cụ thể, quy hoạch tổng thể phát triển giao thông, quy hoạch hệ thống giao thông đường thủy, cảng thủy nội địa, quy hoạch điểm đấu nối các tuyến Quốc lộ N1, N2, 14C… Trong đó, xương sống mạng lưới đường bộ tỉnh Long An gồm các tuyến cao tốc và 4 tuyến quốc lộ. Điển hình như tuyến cao tốc TPHCM – Trung Lương đã đưa vào khai thác, Quốc lộ 1A hoàn thành đầu tư mở rộng, còn dự án Quốc lộ N2 đã hoàn thành xây dựng đoạn Đức Hòa-Mỹ An, tuyến Quốc lộ N1 đang trong giai đoạn thực hiện dự án đầu tư xây dựng. Theo quy hoạch, tuyến N2 đóng vai trò trục mới của vùng ĐBSCL, với điểm đầu tại huyện Củ Chi (TP.HCM) đi xuyên qua vùng Đồng Tháp Mười. Và 2 tuyến Quốc lộ 50 và 62 từng bước được duy tu, nâng cấp. Bên cạnh cao tốc TPHCM-Trung Lương, Long An còn có tuyến cao tốc khác là Bến Lức – Long Thành đang được thi công xây dựng. Dự án này sẽ kết nối địa bàn các huyện Bến Lức, Cần Giuộc của tỉnh Long An, huyện Bình Chánh, Cần Giờ của TP.HCM và huyện Nhơn Trạch, Long Thành của Đồng Nai. Sau khi hoàn thành, tuyến cao tốc này sẽ giúp giao thông liên vùng miền Tây và Đông Nam bộ không cần quá cảnh qua TP.HCM, kết nối trực tiếp với mạng lưới cao tốc với quốc lộ, hệ thống cảng biển Cái Mép – Thị Vải, cảng Sao Mai Bến Đình và với sân bay quốc tế Long Thành, rút ngắn thời gian đi từ tỉnh Long An đến TPHCM, Đồng Nai, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu. Trong khi đó, dự án đường cao tốc Bến Lức-Hiệp Phước đang trong quá trình chuẩn bị đầu tư.
