Ngày 6/5, đại diện Sở Kế hoạch và Đầu tư tỉnh Bình Dương cho biết, giữa lúc khó khăn, dòng vốn FDI vẫn chảy mạnh vào địa phương này. Tính đến thời điểm hiện tại, Bình Dương là địa phương đứng thứ hai cả nước về thu hút vốn FDI, chỉ sau TPHCM.
Chỉ tính riêng trong quý I vừa qua, tổng vốn đăng ký cấp mới, điều chỉnh và góp vốn, mua cổ phần của nhà đầu tư nước ngoài tại Bình Dương đạt 723,3 triệu USD. Trong đó cấp mới 17 dự án, tổng vốn đăng ký đạt 203,6 triệu USD.
Về vốn điều chỉnh, có 6 lượt dự án đăng ký điều chỉnh tăng vốn đầu tư, tổng vốn đăng ký tăng thêm đạt 33,86 triệu USD. Đối với góp vốn, mua cổ phần, có 37 lượt, tổng giá trị vốn góp đạt trên 495,8 triệu USD.
Theo lĩnh vực đầu tư, các nhà đầu tư nước ngoài đã đầu tư vào 8 ngành lĩnh vực, trong đó lĩnh vực hoạt động kinh doanh bất động sản chiếm ưu thế với tổng số vốn đầu tư đạt 468,05 triệu USD, chiếm 64,71% tổng vốn đầu tư đăng ký.
Lĩnh vực công nghiệp chế biến, chế tạo đứng thứ 2 với tổng vốn 229,5 triệu USD, chiếm 31,74% tổng vốn đầu tư đăng ký. Tiếp theo là các lĩnh vực xây dựng; sản xuất, phân phối điện, khí, nước, điều hòa; bán buôn và bán lẻ; sửa chữa ô tô, mô tô, xe máy; hoạt động hành chính và dịch vụ hỗ trợ.
