Dự án nhà ở xã hội TX Bến Cát quy mô 300 căn, mỗi căn rộng 60m2, gồm hai tầng cùng nội thất, giá dự kiến 1,6 tỷ đồng, được khởi công ngày 6/10.

Bình Dương có khoảng 2,7 triệu dân với 1,5 triệu lao động. Toàn tỉnh hiện có 25 dự án nhà ở xã hội với trên 1,4 triệu m2 sàn, giá bán 5,6-14,9 triệu đồng mỗi m2. Địa phương còn có 22 dự án nhà ở thương mại dành 20% quỹ đất để xây nhà ở xã hội với tổng diện tích trên 64 ha.

Trong chuyến công tác tại Bình Dương tháng 3 vừa qua, Thủ tướng Phạm Minh Chính cho biết Chính phủ đang triển khai chương trình phục hồi và phát triển kinh tế – xã hội giai đoạn 2022-2023, trong đó ưu tiên chính sách phát triển nhà ở xã hội, nhà ở cho công nhân. Hiện cả nước đã có hơn 300 dự án nhà ở xã hội với khoảng 155.800 căn; hơn 400 dự án với tổng số 450.000 căn đang triển khai.
