Vừa qua, Chủ tịch Quốc hội Vương Đình Huệ cùng đoàn công tác Trung ương thị sát, kiểm tra thi công cao tốc Bến Lức – Long Thành ở tỉnh Đồng Nai. Cụ thể ở khu vực nút giao với quốc lộ 51 và cầu cạn qua rừng ngập mặn xã Phước Thái, huyện Long Thành.

Ông Phạm Hồng Quang, Tổng giám đốc Tổng công ty đầu tư phát triển đường cao tốc Việt Nam (VEC), cho biết hiện còn vài gói thầu đang vướng mắc chưa thể tái khởi động do nhà thầu yêu cầu chấm dứt hợp đồng. Hiện, các gói thầu nhánh phía Tây sử dụng nguồn vốn Ngân hàng Phát triển châu Á (ADB) đã tạm dừng thi công. Việc giải phóng mặt bằng cơ bản đã hoàn tất.
Theo ông Quang, VEC đang hoàn thiện các thủ tục để sớm tổ chức đấu thầu, triển khai thi công trở lại để hoàn thành dự án như kế hoạch. Khó khăn lớn nhất của dự án đã được tháo gỡ, Ủy ban quản lý vốn Nhà nước tại doanh nghiệp đã chấp thuận để VEC tạm sử dụng nguồn thu phí, các khoản tiền chưa đến hạn để trả nợ nhà thầu.
Cố gắng hoàn thành trong năm 2024
Chủ tịch Quốc hội Vương Đình Huệ cho biết Bến Lức – Long Thành là cao tốc quan trọng của vùng kinh tế trọng điểm phía Nam. Vấn đề vốn là khó khăn nhất nay đã được tháo gỡ; không có lý do gì để chậm nữa. Trên công trường san lấp mặt bằng, lu nền nhà ga, ông Huệ nói “đã thấy hình hài của sân bay trong tương lai”.
Chủ tịch Quốc hội đánh giá cao Chính phủ đặt mục tiêu khánh thành sân bay quốc tế Long Thành dịp 2/9/2025, sớm hơn so với kế hoạch vào cuối năm 2025. “Thời gian không còn nhiều, chúng ta phải nỗ lực cao hơn để có công trình xứng tầm với một đất nước 100 triệu dân”, ông Huệ nói.
