Cầu Bình Gởi dài gần một km, rộng 20 m, 4 làn xe, tổng đầu tư 570 tỷ đồng, thuộc dự án Vành đai 3, sẽ khởi công quý hai năm tới, giúp kết nối Bình Dương và TP HCM.
Thông tin được ông Nguyễn Thanh Thuận, Phó giám đốc Sở Giao thông Vận tải tỉnh Bình Dương cho biết ngày 2/11. Cầu Bình Gởi nối TP Thuận An với quận 12, thuộc Dự án thành phần 5 của Vành đai 3 TP HCM do tỉnh Bình Dương thực hiện. Đây là cây cầu thứ ba bắc qua sông Sài Gòn, nối hai địa phương này, sau cầu Phú Cường và Phú Long.
Vành đai 3 đi qua TP HCM, Bình Dương, Đồng Nai, Long An, chia làm 4 đoạn lớn: Tân Vạn – Bình Chuẩn, Tân Vạn – Nhơn Trạch, Bình Chuẩn – quốc lộ 22 và quốc lộ 22 – Bến Lức. Đây được xem là trục giao thông chiến lược, tạo hành lang đô thị, công nghiệp cho 4 địa phương và cả vùng kinh tế trọng điểm phía Nam. Trong đó, đoạn Tân Vạn – Bình Chuẩn (một phần đường Mỹ Phước – Tân Vạn thuộc Bình Dương) dài 16 km đã đầu tư hoàn thành.
Phần còn lại của Vành đai 3 dài hơn 76 km đã được Quốc hội thông qua chủ trương đầu tư hồi tháng 6 với tổng vốn hơn 75.000 tỷ đồng với 8 dự án thành phần. Tuyến đường dự kiến khởi công giữa năm 2023, hoàn thành sau 3 năm. Riêng đoạn qua Bình Dương (thành phần 5 và 6) gồm nút giao Tân Vạn và cầu Bình Gởi sẽ khởi công tháng 4 năm sau với tổng số vốn hơn 19.000 tỷ đồng. Trong đó, kinh phí bồi thường, giải phóng mặt bằng khoảng 13.500 tỷ đồng.
Ngoài cầu Bình Gởi, dự án Vành đai 3 còn có cầu Nhơn Trạch, nối TP HCM và Đồng Nai dài 2,6 km, rộng 19,5 m, kinh phí hơn 1.800 tỷ đồng.
