UBND tỉnh Bình Phước vừa có buổi làm việc với thành phố Đồng Xoài, huyện Đồng Phú, Phú Riềng để xem xét thống nhất ranh giới điều chỉnh mở rộng địa giới hành chính TP. Đồng Xoài.
Đề xuất mở rộng TP. Đồng Xoài
Báo cáo tại buổi làm việc, UBND TP. Đồng Xoài, cho biết để mở rộng không gian đô thị của thành phố; đảm bảo đủ điều kiện tiêu chí cho TP. Đồng Xoài lên đô thị loại II, TP. Đồng Xoài đề xuất điều chỉnh mở rộng địa giới hành chính chủ yếu về phía Bắc và phía Đông thuộc huyện Đồng Phú.
Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Bình Phước Huỳnh Anh Minh đề nghị các sở ngành và các địa phương liên quan tổ chức khảo sát, kiểm tra thực địa tại các khu vực điều chỉnh để có kết quả thống nhất cuối cùng, trước khi trình UBND tỉnh và các bộ ngành xem xét quyết định.
Tại cuộc họp, các thành viên dự họp cơ bản thống nhất với đề xuất của TP. Đồng Xoài. Tuy nhiên, để đảm bảo sự phát triển hài hòa cho TP. Đồng Xoài, các thành phần dự họp đề nghị cần xem xét các khu vực ranh giới, để thuận lợi cho quản lý hành chính, đầu tư phát triển hạ tầng đô thị; đặc biệt là xem xét về quy mô dân số của huyện Đồng Phú để đảm bảo các tiêu chí theo quy định.
Mở rộng TP. Đồng Xoài có 7 phường
Dự kiến sau khi mở rộng TP. Đồng Xoài, diện tích tự nhiên của thành phố sẽ là 310,5 km2. Phần diện tích này tăng 142,8km2 so với địa giới hành chính TP. Đồng Xoài hiện hữu.
Trong đó, diện tích mở rộng về xã Thuận Phú 60,5 ha; mở rộng về xã Đồng Tiến 43,3 km2, xã Tân Phước 17,3 km2, xã Tân Hưng 21,6 km2. Diện tích còn lại của xã Thuận Phú sẽ gộp vào xã Thuận Lợi; diện tích còn lại của xã Đồng Tiến sẽ gộp vào xã Đồng Tâm, huyện Đồng Phú.
Sau khi điều chỉnh, TP. Đồng Xoài có 7 phường: Tân Phú, Tân Bình, Tân Xuân, Tân Thiện, Tân Đồng, Tiến Thành, Tiến Hưng và 3 xã: Tân Thành, Thuận Phú và Đồng Tiến. Quy mô dân số sau khi điều chỉnh mở rộng, TP. Đồng Xoài có khoảng 200.000 người.
Đồng Xoài cách TP. HCM khoảng 100km, lên thành phố từ cuối 2018. Theo niên giám thống kê năm 2020 TP. Đồng Xoài có diện tích 167,71 km2; dân số 127.000 người, mật độ dân số 660 người/km2. Thành phố có 8 đơn vị hành chính, gồm 6 phường và 2 xã.
